Workshop Calendar Announced

To make sure we are well organised and up-to-date here in 'Blog Land', we have decided to announce the Embellees Workshops for 2011 earlier than expected. 

Workshop Registrations/Payments will not open until 6 February 2011, but we welcome you registering your interest for further information/waitlisting by emailing us at:  Embellees@bigpond.com


We have had to make some changes to our previously advertised dates.  Due to the very exciting visit by Donna Downey to Pages2Scrap (Central Coast) we have 'pushed' our workshop dates back.  As 'working mums' we know that most of us need to consider our scrapping budget and timetable. We felt that two weekends in a row for early March was too much.  So here are our new dates and calendar all ready for you to get excited about.

  It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

All our Workshops are held at the Edgeworth Bowling Club (near Newcastle NSW). We have a great big open space in the Club auditorium and there is a lovely cafe that serves wonderful coffee,cakes and a quality menu for that lunchtime order.

The aim of the Embellees Workshops is to offer variety and value for money. We have developed a loyal following (thank you to our gorgeous girls who keep coming back for more), so our Workshops have been filling up very fast.

The Workshop Calendar for 2011 is all about technique.  We love sharing our knowledge, our skills and getting you to move outside your comfort zone.  We like to keep the Workshops moving at a fast pace, so you need to be comfortable with your basic scrapbooking tools and terminology.

Workshop Updates - All Things Cardstock

My name is Lizzie and in a past life I was a 'cardstock-a-holic'...

Yes I admit when I started scrapping the only background I ever used was cardstock... I remember my excitement when Bazzil brought out a new range... well those days are long gone and thanks to my lovely friends, Lisa and Jen I was converted to 'anything works as a background' movement. 

There in it lays my dilemma... after nearly 4 years I still have a huge stack of cardstock.

Miss Lisa decided to start experimenting with her own cardstock 'stash' and well you are not going to believe the beautiful layouts she has put together to present at our
April Workshop - 'All Things Cardstock'.

This Workshop will have you reinventing your cardstock backgrounds, making embellishments( I am in love with the flowers Lisa has made), ripping, tearing, scrunching, damping, stamping, embossing, painting, masking, stitching... the list is endless!

While Miss Lisa has been busy with the layouts, I have made the 'funkiest' ever desk calendar - yep all from cardstock - even comes with it's own stand (wait until you see what I repurposed for this little beauty).

Remember our official Workshop launch will be 6 February 2011 and
bookings will open that day.

The Embellees Team are busy putting the finishing touches to the 2011 Workshop Calendar and there is lots happening, but we can't spoil all the surprises!

'Keeping Mum'

What better way to kick off our new year with getting a head start on Mother's Day (we all know how quickly it creeps up) and if you are anything like us it is so nice to give something handmade, personal or to just do something for ourselves as Mothers!  So by getting started now we hope you will be 'well organised' when that special day rolls around in early May.
